{"id":278,"date":"2014-08-25T02:15:17","date_gmt":"2014-08-25T02:15:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bambicamping.com\/wp\/?p=278"},"modified":"2014-08-25T02:17:57","modified_gmt":"2014-08-25T02:17:57","slug":"propane","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bambicamping.com\/wp\/2014\/08\/25\/propane\/","title":{"rendered":"Propane"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The next project was to replace the propane tanks and plumbing. \u00a0Of course, I had to get aluminum tanks that soon I will polish to shine like the trailer. \u00a0But polishing is a task for another day. \u00a0These are 10 lb tanks, a little smaller than the originals. \u00a0Given that we plan to run only the stove and our gas grill from these tanks, they should provide\u00a0plenty of capacity for us. \u00a0If in future years we plan to reconnect propane to the refrigerator and install a hot water heater, then I might need to worry about their size. \u00a0I doubt that I will ever install a new propane furnace. \u00a0We just don&#8217;t plan to go camping in frigid temperatures and even if we did a small electric heater would probably heat our small trailer just fine.<\/p>\n<p>The guy at the hardware store convinced me to use 1\/2&#8243; galvanized pipe for the main supply line. \u00a0You can see it jutting out from under the belly pan. \u00a0It&#8217;s connected to the dual tank regulator by a standard LP hose. \u00a0When one tank runs out of fuel I just flip the regulator to the other tank.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/bambicamping.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/IMG_0720.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-271\" src=\"http:\/\/bambicamping.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/IMG_0720-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"Propane Setup\" width=\"940\" height=\"705\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bambicamping.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/IMG_0720-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/bambicamping.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/IMG_0720-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/bambicamping.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/IMG_0720-400x300.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 940px) 100vw, 940px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Copper tubing comes off the main supply line toward the refrigerator on the other side of the trailer. \u00a0I used the thicker type &#8220;L&#8221;
